About Me

PV Beach Club

I have been an amateur photographer essentially my entire life, getting my first camera when I was eight. I began developing black and white film when I was about eleven. Later, as an adult, I developed and printed both black and white and color film in my makeshift home dark room with mixed results.

I got involved in digital photography in the mid-90s and bought my first digital camera in 1999.

I began teaching adult education digital photography classes part time in 2001. The classes I taught included using digital cameras, Photoshop Elements, Photoshop, Lightroom, and basic video editing. Additionally, I taught basic iPad/iPhone classes.

In 2006, I spent six weeks cruising Alaska as a volunteer Photoshop Elements instructor for High Seas Computing Services. Later, I was a guest lecturer on cruises for Norwegian Cruise Lines. For the past many years, I have been part of the Adobe user beta test team for Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements and Lightroom. I also have been invited to give presentations to local groups in the South Bay.
